Then on, which editions of this book it is published on title page? It is published on book, "Organon of Medicine" from its second edition to sixth edition, that is, on second, third, fourth, fifth and 6th editions.

  • That means, first edition is devoid of this, does not have this phrase printed on its title page, not mentioned anywhere else in book of first edition.

Question is, what does phrase, "Aude Sapere" mean? What is meaning of phrase Aude Sapere? It means, "Dare to be wise."

But, why Hahnemann used this phrase and mentioned it on title page of his book named, Organon of Medicine? He used it, because he lived it. He was opposed because his discovery of Homeopathy at time of discovery was not accepted by society of medicine at that time.

  • According to them, it was against their old laws but Dr. Hahnemann know that he was right, correct and wise and he proved it with time; but society of medicine accepted it very late which requires on behalf of discoverer patience and courage to dare the task of proving truth which people does not want to accept so easily.

To break prejudice strong footing from long years from society is not an easy task. It requires courage to prove them, when you know that you will have to face repeated rejection from them and grave punishment to think of such new phenomena which is not acceptable to prejudice of society. But Dr. Hahnemann took courage to prove, what he discover is truth and right way of cure.
