it that they use it so often during conversations? Homeopathic doctors use this word
most during those conversations which is related to deciding a remedy for a
case.
Yes, susceptibility is one of the important factor, which is never
omitted while deciding a remedy for a case. In fact, it is considered more
during medicine selection process. More weight-age is given to it while deciding
a remedy for a Homeopathic case. In fact, it not only helps in Homeopathic
remedy selection, it also helps in potency selection of Homeopathic remedy.
Without it, Homoeopathic case is incomplete, if you have not investigated about it
during your case recording process.
But, what does this term "Susceptibility" is? Now, you know why
it is so important during case investigation, then let's know, what it actually
is. What is its right meaning?
Susceptibility is natural reaction of
human body and its reception power to a stimulus. That is, in simple words, when a stimulus is given to human body, whatever stimulus is given to human body
whether stimulus is external or internal, how human body reacts to it and human
body receives it is called susceptibility.
- All body functions depend upon susceptibility of human body, that is, its power to receive stimulus effect and also to react to it. And, it is not like that it exists only in health. It also exists in diseased state of human body. The only difference is that it is not in range considered normal. It is out of range, that is, not within normal range. It is either increased or shrunk from its normal range in disease.
- So, that means susceptibility is of two types, one is normal susceptibility which is found in health and second is abnormal susceptibility which is found in disease. Susceptibility which is found in disease is abnormal susceptibility that needs to be restored back to normal range, only then person will be healed.
Abnormal susceptibility has further two subtypes which we will
discuss in next upcoming articles of Homoeopathic Blog.
