Phosphorus patient has its own psychological state. In this state, he or she suffers from more than 8 psychological thoughts. That are also called psychological symptoms. Knowledge of them is very much necessary before using this remedy for therapeutic purpose. Among which comes, imaginary state, hypochondriac state, fear state. Delirium state, mania attack state, indifferent state, violent state also come under it.

Full of imaginary thoughts that are violent-
Psychological state of Phosphorus patient is such that she keeps on imaging. But not in good way, on   opposite, in violent way. But, this imagination process does not last long, because prostration of mind.

Great prostration of mind after slight brain work-
This is basic symptom that runs through rest of psychology of patient. Mind of Phosphorus patient gets so easily tired that she can’t think or imagine for long. Phosphorus patient is oversensitive, gets easily excited, but it’s brain gets tired easily.

Anxious state-
If Phosphorus patient is your family member, she will say, “Please be with me, I get scared when alone. So fearful Phosphorus patient is that she gets anxious when thunderstorms comes. Most people are happy from thunderstorms that they give relief from hot weather. But, Phosphorus patient gets anxious. She gets so anxious that she has sudden diarrhoea, palpitations and trembling from thunderstorms.

Fearful state on borderline of insanity-
Patient is so fearful that she has reached near the merge of insanity. If Phosphorus patient’s fear is not controlled at this time, then very soon she is going to become insane. What kind of fear she has? In evening, most of time, she has fear of death. That fear cause indigestion. This fearful state has side effect on her body especially on stomach and breathing. It causes difficult breathing and stomach problems. In her imagination, she fears those faces that are staring at her from a corner.
                                
Indifferent to everybody-
She doesn’t care about anybody. Doesn’t have any emotional attachment with her family or friends. Everybody is too much attached with their children, but Phosphorus patient is not.

Hypochondriasis state most marked-
This state is up to its extreme in Phosphorus patient. What happens in it? In it patient imagines that she suffers from some grievous disease. But, actually she is not. She thinks that she is going to die from that disease. She believes in this so hard that she is not going to listen that she is not ill. On the opposite, she will make you count a number of symptoms she has. The reason of not believing is that in past she has suffered from prolonged illness. That has set fear of disease in her, although she has recovered from that illness. But, fear has remained in her mind.

Violent, loquacious delirium state-
In delirium state, she just keep on talking, doesn’t stop and also  become violent.
Violent mania attacks during sleep-
During sleep, she has mania attacks in which she becomes violent. Violence is so much that nobody dares to talk to her during that time. This is because she doesn’t listen to anybody at that time. But, this stage doesn’t last long. This is because of prostration of mind that tire brain easily. But, when this mania is occurring at that time patient is progressing towards idiotic, weak brain state.

Psychological symptoms worse from-
Most of above psychological symptoms of Phosphorus patient are worse from-
  • Slight mind exertion, 
  • Noise, 
  • In dark, 
  • When alone, 
  • From music, 
  • Slight excitement, 
  • Playing piano, 
  • In evening.
