The reason for anemia occurring, among girls of pubertal age and among pregnant women; is a major portion of iron getting lost, in pubertal age and increased iron requirement, among pregnant women.
But, why it is occurring among children?
The reason for it being, consumption of; iron mineral lacking, fast food diet and carbonated drinks.
- Fast food contains no nourishment, except just taste; it’s almost refined food, lacking in iron mineral.
- Carbonated drinks, which children consume, these days; are high on sugar, but low in iron content. In short, nothing of them supply, sufficient iron supply; in fact contain very less iron.
Therefore, if you
yourself do not want to be anemic or have any family member or children at
home, who have anemia; then make
habit of, consuming diet; specially charted out, by medical researchers, for anemic
patients. So, here comes, diet for anemic
patient; which is told below, in step by step format-
- Number 1 food item, which anemic patients, must have in their diet; is green vegetables, if they are leafy one, then it’s much better.
- 2nd food item, which comes at 2nd position in diet; for anemic patients, is honey.
- Next groundnut, pistachio, apricot and raisins; they are also iron rich.
- Among fruits, pomegranate and dates are good source of iron.
- Orange and lemon, no doubt; not contain that much iron, which green leafy vegetables do; but vitamin C found in them; help in absorption of iron. Because sometimes, it happen that you are consuming iron rich diet; but iron from diet is, not getting absorbed in body; just because you are not consuming vitamin C rich food stuffs, which help in absorption of iron.
